I was born in Eustis, Florida in 1968 and raised in Mt. Dora, Florida. I am a 1986 graduate of Christian Home and Bible School in Mt. Dora. I attended the University of Florida for a year and a half and then transferred to Harding University where I received my BS in Computer Science.
I met my wife, Michele, at Harding University and have been married since 1992. We have two daughters, Sarah and Rebekah, and a son, Samuel.
After graduating from college at Harding University, Michele and I lived in Little Rock for six years. I worked at a software engineering company called Data Decisions and Michele worked as a teacher in the public school system. While in Little Rock we were members at the Somer's Avenue Church of Christ.
We then moved to Florida in 1997. I work at home and am a co-owner of a software engineering company called Medtrio, Inc. Michele works at Christian Home and Bible School as a middle school science teacher. We were members and the Plymouth Church of Christ from 1998 to 2009. I served as the Deacon of Finance for ten years at Plymouth and Michele helped build their children's education program.
I am currently the Deacon of Member Communications at Mt. Dora and serve under the oversight of Gene Kessinger. My responsibilities include: Working on a congregational Time and Talent Directory, assisting with the membership directory, maintaining signs and bulletin boards in the building, coordination of promotional activities, congregational surveys, informing the congregation of the current and upcoming Bible classes, helping with Power Point presentations, and assisting with the church website.
When in junior high school I was diagnosed with Leukemia and given a 25% chance of survival. After five years of experimental treatments, I was pronounced cured. Our son Samuel is named after my oncologist who treated me at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.
I truly feel that God saved me for a reason. I can think of no better life than to marry a Christian and raise our children in the Lord's church. Priorities are a must. Put God first in your life, your family second, others third, and yourself last. If you take care of the first one, the others will fall into line.

Most of my upbringing took place in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but my family moved to Sanford, Florida in 1977. It is in Sanford that I was baptized by my father at the age of fifteen. After graduating from Seminole High School in 1982, I moved to Maryland where I attended the U.S. Naval Academy for a year and a half and then decided to take a change in direction. I finished my education at The Johns Hopkins University with a degree in mechanical engineering.
While living in Maryland, I met my lovely wife Kim. She caught my eye during a young adult fellowship (back when we were actually young adults), and the rest is history. We were married in Annapolis, where we continued to live until the birth of our son Tyler. We packed our bags and moved to South Carolina when he was only two weeks old, and lived there for five years. Our daughter Kasey, like her daddy, was born in South Carolina. While we loved our time in the beautiful "Upstate," we had a longing to be closer to family. Since both of our parents lived in Florida at the time, it only made sense that this would be our next move. In 1999, we again packed up our family and moved to Lake Mary, Florida.
We attended the Sanford Church of Christ for several years after moving to Florida, where I served as Deacon of Missions. We ultimately moved to Apopka and have been worshiping with the Mt. Dora family for about six years. Here at Mt. Dora, I also serve as Deacon of Missions. Both Tyler and Kasey attend Christian Home and Bible School, and Kim has worked there since 2003. I am currently employed as a Senior Engineering Project Manager at the Winter Park firm of Donald W. McIntosh Associates, Inc.
As Deacon of Missions, one of my largest responsibilities is the management of our congregations World Bible School program. We have a number of members who conduct Bible correspondence courses with individuals across the globe that are yearning to know more about God and his Son, Jesus Christ. It is a very rewarding work, and we continue to spread the seed and watch it grow through God's blessings. I also communicate and coordinate with numerous other missions supported by the Mt. Dora Church.

I was born and raised in Central Florida. I grew up in Tavares and attended Christian Home & Bible School in Mount Dora from K-12 grade. With the Christian people at the school and positive Christian influences, I learned the Bible and focused on what the Bible really tells us to do.
Chorus at the Bible school was very important to me and one of the primary reasons I am a Christian today. Brother Cletus Stutzman (the president of the school at the time) would drive the bus as we would travel to Church of Christ congregations in the area to sing on Sunday evenings. We would arrive for evening services where Brother Stutzman would preach the lesson to the congregation. Following the service, we would sing a variety of acappella hymns, psalms and spiritual songs. It was a joy to be singing for the Lord and it was a true blessing to my life. The relationships I made and the influences on my life during those times have made me the person I am today. I began attending the Mount Dora Church of Christ congregation and was baptized shortly after.
I attended Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL and earned a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1992. I was always kind of a geek when it came to anything electronic. I loved playing with electronics or anything that was computer related. Shortly after graduating and working some small jobs, I got a job with a major telecommunications corporation when I worked for several years as a software engineer. In addition, when the Internet started to take off, I started designing and building dynamic websites with fancy backends and database driven content. I started doing websites for other people and ended up growing my hobby into an full service website design and mobile application corporation which I run to this day.
I have attended the Mount Dora congregation for over 25 years. I am the deacon over multimedia and fellowship and I also am one of the song leaders.
My wife Diana and I met at the Mount Dora congregation and were married at the Mt. Dora church building in 1994 and have three boys. We love serving at the Mount Dora congregation and consider it a blessing to be able to serve the Lord in Mt. Dora.

I was raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I was baptized in 1968 in Iuka Mississippi by Brother Jimmy Moffit, who was frequently held gospel meetings in the small church that my grandmother attended. I played football for the White Hall Bulldogs in junior high. I would have continued but I blew out my left knee saving a touchdown!
I did a lot of hunting and fishing as well as working in my dad's television repair shop. After I graduated high school I went to Harding. I graduated with a B.A. in December of 1979, making me a graduate of the last class of Harding College. Sonia graduated the following May making her a graduate of the first class to graduate from Harding University.
After I graduated, I went to work for Simmons First National Bank in Pine Bluff. Sonia and I got married and attended the 40th and Hazel Church of Christ in Pine Bluff. Sonia and I then began working with a number of other Christians in White Hall to establish a local congregation there.
We moved to Florida in May of 1985 and I began teaching computer instruction at Lee Adult High School in Leesburg. I started teaching at the Christian Home and Bible School in March of 1986. I taught life and earth sciences. The next school term I started teaching American and World Histories as well as Political Science. I also taught computer programming as well as Bible. I started working at Wal-Mart in 1987 and have been there ever since. We attended the North 14th Street church in Leesburg as well as Orange Avenue in Eustis.
I started and worked as the coordinator for Lads to Leaders in Mt. Dora. I have taught numerous high school Bible classes as well as some adult Bible classes primarily in the field of financial stewardship. I have also done some financial counseling with some members of the congregation.
I serve as the deacon for benevolence as well as with worship, both of which are under the oversight of Gene Newton.
